Jandi Gardiazabal was born into a family of skilled women: her grandmothers, her aunts and, of course, her mother, were great weavers, embroiderers and seamstresses. She learned to weave at the age of 8, and since then, she has never stopped again. He studied Commercial Engineering (UAI Viña del Mar), Costume Design (IED Madrid) and Art History (UAI Santiago). She has worked in various Chilean retail brands and is currently taking design and knitting classes, because by far what she is most passionate about is weaving. Knit every day, even if it’s a couple of runs with toothpicks or crochet. And he always has several projects in parallel: one nearing completion, several in the middle and many others in his head, those that are distributed in different cloth bags around his house and his workshop.
